Itinerary Overview:

Day 1: Tbilisi – Gombori Pass – Lechuri – Abano Pass – Omalo
We kick off early from Tbilisi, journeying over Gombori Pass toward the majestic Great Caucasus foothills. After reaching Lechuri, we’ll leave the paved road behind and take an adventurous, unpaved mountain route toward Abano Pass—the highest driveable pass in the Caucasus at 2,826 meters above sea level. Get ready for a scenic yet challenging ride! After around 5–6 hours on the road, we’ll arrive in Omalo, where you can relax at our cozy guesthouse before exploring the village and visiting the historic Keselo Fortress for panoramic views of Tusheti.

Day 2: Exploring Tusheti – Shenako, Diklo, Dartlo, Kvavlo
Today, immerse yourself in Tusheti’s charm. We’ll visit the iconic St. George Church in Shenako, then hike to the ancient Diklo Fortress, perched on a hilltop. Continue to the fortified village of Dartlo and hike to the remote village of Kvavlo, a stunning location surrounded by untouched nature. You’ll also have the opportunity to experience traditional Tushetian cuisine and even enjoy an optional horseback ride through the rugged landscape.

Day 3: Omalo – Goat Panorama – Bochorna – Abano Pass – Tbilisi
On our final day, we’ll visit the Goat Panorama, a dramatic viewpoint offering the chance to spot wild mountain goats. Afterward, we’ll travel to Bochorna, Europe’s highest village (2,345 m), before beginning our journey back to Tbilisi.
